We accept both smartphones and feature phones. We also accept broken or outdated phones for recycling or parts. This includes flip phones, android smartphones and Apple iPhones.

Yes you may include batteries with your phone. It is imperative that the terminals are not exposed. Cellphones are designed to keep batteries grounded when attached. Do not disconnect orremove batteries 
It is highly recommended to erase your phone data before donating. Depending on your type of phone, please follow the steps to erase phone data
Yes. Please remove the SIM card before donating the phoneIf you are not going to use the SIM card, feel free to destroy the SIM. If your phone has an SD memory card, you may also removeit prior to donating.
No, we would not need any instruction manual, original box or any other paper work along with it. You can discard them in your regular Recycling bin 
Yes we do accept phones with minor scratches or a broken glass. Feel free to ship them over to us if you wish to recycle them.
No problem at all. We understand that you may at time not be able to erase the data from your phone before donating it. We will still accept it as it is.At Phones For Veterans, we take data security strictly and ensure that all phones undergo thorough data erase processes. We would highly appreciate you paying for the shipping if it is less than 5 phones. However we do provide pre-paid shipping labels to accept your valuable donations. Once you have collected the phones/ charging cables to donate, please feel free to download a shipping label hereIf you are recycling five 5 or more cell phones, PFV will pay for your shippingcosts by providing a prepaid shipping label. Our self-paid shipping option, for less than five 5 cellphones, saves Phones For Veterans on shipping costsand allows us make a larger impact by providing more to charitable causes.
You can include the phones/ devices to be donated along with the original charging cables(optional). If possible, please use some paper padding or a bubble wrap if available so that thedevices do not get damaged in transit.

Yes Absolutely! Feel free to do so. We would definitely recommend you place the items in a box along with the your Name and email so we can confirm the receipt of the donations. Your emailwill also allow us to send you the tax-deductible receipt for your donation.
